Haverhill Rocks 2009 is currently airing on HCTV channel 22 in and around Haverhill.  HCTV is boasted to be one of the countries top public access stations and has many viewers.  

The voting records indicated that after Monday's and Tuesday's TV airings there was a huge spike in voting.  People are watching and are interested in who is going to win this year!  Haverhill Rocks has had record amounts of viewers now well in to the fourth year.. In the 2008 competition, it was said Haverhill Rocks had a higher voter turn out then the towns elections.  What does this mean?  It means if you competed you are getting exposure.

So what's so great about this year?  Fresh acts, new talent.  To our suprise a couple of new bands sprung up from no where and seem to be dominating the scene.  Something Green and One Step Away have made a break from the rest with an onslought of votes.  While hysteria, a local favorite who has ruled this competition for 4 years now is picking up steam right behind these new bands.  It is still very early and other groups are closing the gap daily, Hysteria is also known for pulling ahead at the last minute so we may find this years match exciting up until the last moment.

Right now, voting is important, everyone can vote more then once.  To keep it fair to all, only one vote can be placed from one ip address a day.  If you are a fan of one of the bands in the competition, or follow bands from previous years, show your support and vote, take a look at the past competitors, and have fun doing it.  There are interesting rumors going around for who the national act will be.  We will keep you informed, tickets are moving fast so make sure you have yours as soon as possible, the bands are great and every one we have spoken to says this will be one of the most exciting competitions yet.
